IR Theory Explorer is an educational app designed to help people understand international relations theory. It is developed and maintained as an independent app.
IR Theory Explorer does not collect any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage data, or any other information that could be used to identify you.
The AI tutor feature sends your questions to the Anthropic API in order to generate responses. These messages are processed by Anthropic to generate your answer and are not stored by IR Theory Explorer. We do not log, save, or have access to the content of your tutor conversations. For more information on how Anthropic handles data, please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com.
IR Theory Explorer uses the following third-party services to operate:
Anthropic — powers the AI tutor feature. Your tutor messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Railway — hosts our backend server, which securely forwards tutor requests to Anthropic. No personal data is stored on this server.
Netlify — hosts the web content displayed in the app. No personal data is collected through this service.
IR Theory Explorer does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app is intended for general audiences curious about international relations and does not target children.
